I enjoy seeking simple solutions to complex technical puzzles.
Drawn to the magic of electronics and programming from an early age, it only occurred to me years later why – electronics, at least since the middle of the twentieth century, has been the machinery of choice for computation. All circuits, whether they be electrical, optical, biological, or even physical manipulate energy as it flows from source to sink, power to ground, star to black hole. This manipulation is computation – physical bits actuating other physical bits.
In my day to day work, I do software engineering and technical management, wrangling complex information flows into robust systems – backend, machine learning, distributed, and embedded.
I received my MSc and BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from Caltech in Pasadena, California.
